What is Converting to the New Format?
The new Shoflo App is a complete redesign of how rundowns are structured and edited and includes many new and improved features and functionality. When you convert a legacy rundown, a completely new rundown is created with your data transformed to the new format.
Key points:
This feature is in beta so let us know if you notice any odd behavior
The original rundown remains unchanged and accessible—it's NOT deleted
A new rundown is created with the title " (V2)" appended
Data is transformed from the legacy format to the new format
Some metadata and settings are not transferred (see below)
Data that won't migrate:
PDF Presets
User preferences (column widths, visibility, custom orderings)
Images
Item descriptions (if used)
Row Highlights, and certain cell / text formatting
Data that will migrate:
All rows, and columns with their content
Dates and times (start time, duration information)
All custom columns you created (converted from old format)
How to Convert Your Rundown
Converting is straightforward and takes just a few clicks:
Navigate to your event dashboard where your rundown is listed.
Find the rundown you want to convert and click the three-dots menu (⋯) on the right side of its row.
Select Convert to new rundown from the dropdown menu (you'll see a sync icon next to it).
The system will process your rundown. This may take a few moments depending on its size.
When complete, a new rundown with " (V2)" appended to the title will appear in your event.
Your Original Rundown Remains Unchanged
An important clarification: Your original legacy rundown is NOT deleted, replaced, or modified. It remains exactly as it was before conversion. You can:
Continue using the original rundown if you prefer
Keep both versions while you test the new format
Reference the old one if you need to recover or recreate formatting
The new rundown with " (V2)" is a separate entity created alongside your original rundown.
FAQs
Can I convert back to the old format?
No. This is a one-way conversion. However, your original rundown remains untouched, so you can always reference it or continue using it.
What if I accidentally convert a rundown?
The original rundown is safe. You can delete the new v2 rundown and continue using the original.
Can I convert just part of my rundown?
No. The conversion process converts the entire rundown as a complete unit.
How long does conversion take?
Most rundowns convert in seconds to a few minutes, depending on size and complexity.
