Column Types

Every column in a rundown has a type that determines what data it holds and how it behaves. Some column types are built in and always present; others can be added as needed.

Built-in Columns

These columns exist in every rundown and cannot be removed.

  • Number — Auto-incremented row number. Read-only. Keeps rows sequentially numbered as you add, move, or delete rows.

  • Title — The name or label for each row. Supports rich text formatting.

Columns You Can Add

These column types can be added via the + button in the toolbar.

  • Rich Text — General-purpose text column with a full rich text editor. Use it for scripts, cues, speaker notes, or any freeform content. Script columns can also be opened in Prompter View.

  • Start Time — Displays the calculated clock time when each row begins. Automatically computed from the show's start time and the cumulative durations of all rows above it.

  • Duration — Editable duration field for each row. Drives all Start Time calculations downstream. Supports multiple display formats (see Time Format below).

  • Preset Time — A manually-set target duration for each row, independent of the calculated Duration. Useful for pre-planned timing targets or production schedules. Also supports multiple display formats.

  • Over/Under — Shows the real-time variance between actual elapsed time (from live tracking) and the row's Preset Time. Displays a + or value so you can see at a glance whether a segment is running over or under.

  • Timestamp — An approval stamp column. Admins can mark any row with the current time and date — useful for tracking when content was reviewed, approved, or called.
