The command palette is a single shortcut that opens an action menu over your rundown. From there you can jump to a row by number, search the content of every row, or run common commands (export, settings, tracking, and more) without hunting through menus.
Opening the command palette
Press Cmd+K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows). Press the shortcut again or hit Escape to close.
Who can use it
Everyone can open the palette. The commands shown inside depend on your event role:
Read Only sees Views, Export, Share, History, and Support.
Contributors additionally see Find & Replace.
Admins additionally see Settings, Row Numbers, Header Clocks, Add Row, Add Column, and Create Rundown.
Show Callers additionally see the Tracking group.
Jumping to a row by number
Open the palette with Cmd+K.
Type any row number (for example, 12).
Matching rows appear under Jump to Row. Press Enter to scroll directly to that row.
Searching rundown content
Open the palette and start typing a word or phrase.
Matches appear under Rundown with the row number, column name, and a snippet of the surrounding text. The matched word is bolded.
Press Enter on a result to scroll the rundown to that cell.
Running commands
When the search box is empty, the palette lists every command available to you, grouped by category. Type to filter them, then press Enter to run the highlighted command.
Settings
Settings opens the rundown settings dialog on the Show Info tab.
Row Numbers jumps straight to the Row Numbers tab.
Header Clocks jumps straight to the Display tab.
Views
Prompter opens the prompter view for this show.
Speaker Timer opens the speaker timer view.
Edit
Find & Replace - opens the search panel with the replace field expanded.
Add Row - appends a new row to the end of the rundown.
Add Column - opens the Add Column dialog.
Create Rundown - opens the Create Rundown dialog.
History - opens the History sheet on the Activity tab.
Tracking
The Tracking group only appears for users with the Show Caller event role, and the items inside change based on the current state of tracking:
Start Tracking appears when nothing is being tracked.
Pause Tracking appears while tracking is running.
Resume Tracking appears while tracking is paused.
Previous Row and Next Row appear while tracking is running. They are hidden when tracking is paused, when on the first row (Previous), or when on the last row (Next).
Stop Tracking appears any time tracking is active.
Export
Export PDF opens the PDF export dialog.
Export Word opens the Word export dialog.
Export CSV downloads the rundown as a CSV immediately.
Share
Guest Pass opens the Guest Pass dialog so you can invite a viewer or contributor.
Support
Chat with Support opens the in-app Intercom chat.
What's New opens our public changelog in a new tab.
Knowledge Base opens Shoflo Learn (this help center) in a new tab.
Keyboard shortcuts inside the palette
Cmd+K / Ctrl+K opens or closes the palette.
Up / Down arrows move through results.
Enter runs the highlighted command, jumps to the highlighted row, or jumps to the highlighted cell.
Escape closes the palette.
The footer of the palette shows what Enter will do for the currently highlighted item: Run command, Jump to row, or Jump to cell.
Tips
Typing a number first prioritizes row jumps, so it's the fastest way to navigate a long rundown.
If you don't see a command you'd expect, check your event permission level. Tracking commands, for example, are Show Caller only.
The palette is available everywhere inside a rundown.
