How to search your rundown and use find & replace to make bulk text edits.

Search lets you quickly find any text across your rundown. If you need to make the same change in multiple places — like updating a speaker name or swapping a venue — Find & Replace lets you do it in seconds.

Who can use it?

Everyone can search. Contributors, Show Callers, and Admins can use Find & Replace to update content.

Opening search

Click the magnifying glass icon in the rundown toolbar, or press Cmd+F (Mac) / Ctrl+F (Windows).

Press Escape or click the X button to close.

Searching your rundown

  1. Type your search term in the Search… field. Results appear automatically as you type.

  2. A badge shows your position in the results (e.g., 1 / 5).

  3. Use the ↑ ↓ arrow buttons to move between results, or press Enter (next) / Shift+Enter (previous).

  4. The active result is highlighted in the rundown — the view scrolls to it automatically.

Note: Search covers Title and rich text columns only. Number, time, and duration columns are not searched.

Finding and replacing text

  1. Open search, then click the Replace icon (the two-arrows icon) to expand the replace panel. This button is only visible if you have Contributor access or higher.

  2. Type your replacement text in the Replace with… field.

  3. A list of all matching results appears below, showing the row number, column name, and a text preview.

  4. All results are checked by default. Uncheck any results you want to skip.

  5. Click Replace (N) — where N is the number of checked results — to apply the changes.

What to expect after replacing

  • A confirmation toast appears: "Replaced N cells"

  • The search panel closes and resets automatically.

  • Changes are applied in real time - your team sees them immediately.

Locked rows

If a row is locked, it will appear in the results list with a lock icon instead of a checkbox. Locked rows can be found but cannot be replaced. To replace content in a locked row, an Admin or Show Caller must unlock it first.

Keyboard shortcuts

  • Cmd+F / Ctrl+F — Open or close search

  • Enter — Next result

  • Shift+Enter — Previous result

  • Escape — Close search
